What ingredients do we use?

Natural Soy Wax is commonly used in candles as it burns cleanly and slowly, providing a longer-lasting fragrance. It is a renewable resource and is biodegradable, making it an eco-friendly choice.

Organic Certified Shea and Cocoa Butter are popular ingredients in soaps and lip balms due to their moisturizing properties. They help nourish and hydrate the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. Being organic certified ensures that the ingredients are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.

Beeswax is known for its emollient and protective qualities. It helps lock in moisture, making it suitable for solid colognes and perfumes. Additionally, Beeswax has a lovely natural scent and helps provide structure to solid products.

Jojoba Oil is a versatile ingredient that closely resembles the natural oils produced by the skin. It is often used in skincare products, including solid colognes and perfumes, due to its moisturizing and conditioning properties. Jojoba Oil also has a long shelf life, making it a reliable choice for product formulations.

The right and wrong way to burn a candle.

Choose a suitable location: Place the candle on a stable and heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects, drafts, children and pets. Avoid placing candles near curtains, bedding, or other fabrics.

  1. Trim the wick: Before lighting the candle, trim the wick to about 0.6 cm in length. A shorter wick helps control the flame height and prevents excessive soot and flickering.

  2. Light the candle safely: Use a long-reach lighter or matches to ignite the candle. Avoid using paper or other flammable materials to light it.

  3. Monitor the candle: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep an eye on the flame, especially if there are children or pets nearby.

  4. Avoid drafts: Keep the candle away from drafts as they can cause an uneven burn and may lead to the flame flickering excessively or causing the candle to smoke.

  5. Allow the wax to melt evenly: On the first burn, let the candle burn until the entire surface of the wax becomes liquid. This helps prevent tunneling, where the candle burns down the center and leaves wax around the edges.

  6. Burn in intervals: Avoid burning a candle for more than 3-4 hours at a time. After this period, extinguish the flame, let it cool, trim the wick if necessary, and relight it later.

  7. Extinguish safely: To extinguish the flame, use a candle snuffer or gently blow it out. Avoid using water, as it can cause the wax to splatter or the glass container to crack.

  8. Check for safety hazards: After extinguishing the candle, ensure that the wick ember is no longer glowing and the candle is cool before moving it or storing it.

Remember, candle safety is crucial to prevent fires or accidents. Following these guidelines will help you enjoy the ambiance and fragrance of your candles while keeping your home safe.
